what is a caricature?
A caricature is a special type of portrait where certain features of the person in the picture are exaggerated for comic effect, a little bit like a cartoon.
- They are a unique and original piece of artwork, ideal to remember a special occasion.
- Caricatures can be used to tell a story or show something about the character of the person in the picture. For example the person may be drawn doing their favourite hobby, in a particular place or even in a particular time (really anything you can imagine!)
- They can include one person as an individual....... a couple, or a group.
- Optionally, caricatures can include a caption such as a speech bubble or a greeting message.
